Winches in an auditorium helps in suspending Lights, Microphones, sceneries, Frill Bar, etc. The Theatrical winches are usually found in the stage area, with drives mounted on side wall, or on the Grid or on special platform. The Winches are connected to GI Pipe Bars with Steel Wire ropes and cable tray in cases where they are used with Lights/ Microphones. Winches are made of high grade non-reversing Gear Boxes and flange mounted Motors directly on Gear Boxes with Upper and Lower cutoff Limit Control Box.

A Typical Winch Set will comprise of a Gear Box, Winding Drum plates, Pullies, Steel Wire Rope, GI Pipe, Cable Duct, Cable Basket or Flip Flop, clamping Mechanism. Depending upon the convenience desired, a manual drive handle or a motor is docked to the gear box.
